The sun glimmered and kissed the cool still water of the pond and seemingly all the plants and animals paused to take notice. The warmth of the day was receding in a slowly hypnotic pace in perfect concert with the departure of the Sun. The day would certainly come to an end as they all do but rather than be forelorn it was a celebration of the wonder that had preceded.
As I stood there I could feel the peace and the warmth at the same time as a gentle stillness enveloped me. It was as if the day was saying goodnight to a precious child before dimming the lights. Darkness would follow and we would all await for the arrival of the Sun once again.
